Eco Church

DCBC agreed in 2022 that environmental issues should be one of its priorities and has a small team considering such matters. This is a wide remit ranging from providing for nature on our church land to understanding the climate crisis and its impact, including on disadvantaged populations in poorer parts of the world. There are Biblical mandates for creation care and for justice for all. The Eco Team is looking at what we as a church and as individuals can do in lifestyle choices and in prayer. It will be seeking to provide information to the DCBC Fellowship, as well as keeping in touch with national Christian organisations working in this area. It also hopes to arrange occasional events to increase awareness of the diversity of nature.
